1. Terms of Sale

1.1 What these terms cover: These are the terms and conditions on which we supply products to you.

1.2 Why you should read them: Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us. These terms tell you who we are, how we will provide products to you, how you and we may change or end the contract, what to do if there is a problem, and other important information. If you think there is a mistake in these terms, please contact us to discuss.

1.3 Eligibility to Purchase: By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and have the necessary authorization to make a purchase.

2. Information About Us and How to Contact Us

2.1 Who we are: We are AAJ Traders Ltd t/a A Jewellers, a company registered in England and Wales. Our company registration number is 09980921, and our registered office is at Suite 20, Floor 2, 88-90 Hatton Garden, London, England, EC1N 8PN. Our registered VAT number is 262694480.

2.2 How to contact us: You can contact us by telephoning our customer service team at 02081878355 during business hours (9 am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday) or by writing to us at info@ajewellers.com or via the contact form on our website www.ajewellers.com.

2.3 How we may contact you: If we have to contact you, we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us in your order.

2.4 Definitions: (a) A Jewellers, we, us, our: AAJ Traders Ltd t/a A Jewellers (registered in England and Wales with company number 09980921). (b) Age: The meaning given in clause 5.1. (c) Goods: The watch, watch winder, watch accessory, or other goods that we are selling to you as set out in the Order. (d) Order: Your order for the Goods. (e) Our website, the website: The website at the domain www.ajewellers.com. (f) Paperwork: The original warranty certificate of the Goods, which includes: (1) the name of the authorized dealer that originally sold the Goods; (2) the serial number of the Goods; and (3) the date of original sale of the Goods. Paperwork does not include the user manual or any service papers. (g) Terms: The terms and conditions set out in this document. (h) Website: The website at the domain www.ajewellers.com. (i) Work: Servicing, refurbishment, battery replacements, testing, links (addition or removal), dial replacement, and/or other work as applicable. (j) Working Days: A day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or public/bank holiday in England. (k) "Writing" includes emails. When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.

3. Manufacturer Warranty

3.1 Some of the Goods we sell come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, these warranties may or may not be transferable depending on the manufacturer’s terms. Please refer to the Paperwork provided with the Goods or the manufacturer’s website for details.

3.2 As a consumer, a manufacturer's warranty is in addition to your legal rights in relation to Goods that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from the Citizens' Advice Consumer Service (website www.adviceguide.org.uk or call 03454 040506).

4. Our Warranty

4.1 Our warranty: We provide either a full or limited warranty with our pre-owned Goods for a period of twelve months from the date of delivery in accordance with our Warranty Terms and Conditions. Please take the time to read and understand these terms. Our warranty does not apply to new Goods, which are typically covered by a third-party manufacturer’s warranty.

4.2 Coverage: Our pre-owned watches are accompanied by our twelve-month warranty (Warranty) from the day you receive your watch, protecting it against manufacturing and mechanical defects, subject to the following terms. Our Warranty may be full (Full Warranty) or limited (Limited Warranty), depending on the condition and age of the watch. If the manufacturer’s warranty expires in less than twelve months, our Warranty will extend to cover the remaining period.

4.3 Exclusions: Our Warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, unauthorized repair or service, or general wear and tear. Modifications made to the Goods after purchase may void the Warranty.

4.4 The warranty we provide is in addition to your legal rights as a consumer in relation to Goods that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from the Citizens' Advice Consumer Service (website www.adviceguide.org.uk or call 03454 040506).

5. Age of Goods

5.1 Paperwork and Age: Where Paperwork accompanies the Goods, the age of the Goods will be calculated from the date given on the Paperwork. The date of manufacture may be significantly earlier than the Paperwork date.

5.2 Estimate of Age: The age of Goods listed without Paperwork is an estimate only. Vintage items, in particular, may be difficult to date accurately.

5.3 No Guarantee of Age: No representation or warranty, express or implied, is made by us concerning the accuracy of the Age of the Goods.

6. Buy Back Guarantee

6.1 Some of our Goods benefit from our Buy Back Guarantee. If this is included in your Order, please refer to our Buy Back Guarantee terms and conditions, available on our website or upon request.

7. Data Protection

7.1 We are committed to protecting your personal information. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. We comply with the UK GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.

8. Returns Policy

8.1 In-Store Purchases: In-store purchases are eligible for exchange or a credit note within fourteen days of purchase, provided the Goods are returned in the condition outlined in clause 8.3. Refunds are not available for in-store purchases except as required by law.

8.2 Online Purchases: If you purchased Goods online and wish to end the contract, you must return them to us. You can either return the Goods in person to where you bought them, post them back to us at the address in clause 2.2, or allow us to collect them. Please contact customer services for a return label or to arrange collection. You must return the Goods within fourteen days of notifying us.

8.3 Presentation and Condition of Goods: Goods will be presented in a sealed container. Once you open the container and break the seal, you accept the condition of the item and forfeit your right to return it. Any Goods being returned must be in unused condition and in the exact original packaging. If not, we may make a deduction from your refund.

8.4 Refunds: We will refund you the price paid for the Goods, including delivery costs, via the payment method used. We may make deductions as described below.

8.5 Deductions: If you are exercising your right to change your mind, we may reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in the value of the Goods caused by handling them in a way not permitted in a store (e.g., scratches, signs of wear, missing components, or improper packaging).

8.6 Timeframe for Refunds: Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the Goods back or receiving proof of postage.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Our liability to you in connection with the sale of any Goods is limited to the purchase price of the Goods. We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the purchase or use of the Goods.

10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

10.1 These terms are governed by English law, and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the Goods in the English courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in your local courts.

11. Fraud Prevention

11.1 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if we suspect fraud, unauthorized transactions, or any misrepresentation in connection with the purchase.

12. Intellectual Property

12.1 All content on our website, including images, logos, and trademarks, is protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.

13. Security Checks for Online Orders

13.1 Third-Party Security Checks: All orders placed through our online platform are subject to security checks conducted by a third-party company. These checks are in place to protect both the customer and A Jewellers from fraudulent transactions. The completion of these checks is mandatory before the shipment of any order.

13.2 Processing Time: Security checks can take up to 72 hours to be completed. We will not process or ship any order until the checks have been successfully completed. Please factor in this processing time when placing your order, especially if it is time-sensitive.

13.3 Request for Additional Information: In certain instances, we may require further information or identification from the purchaser. This may include, but is not limited to, a copy of a government-issued ID, proof of address, or further payment verification. If additional documentation is requested, the processing time may be extended, and we will contact you via email or telephone to obtain the necessary information.

13.4 Failure to Provide Information: If the requested information is not provided within a reasonable timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel the order. A full refund will be issued to the original payment method if the order is canceled due to incomplete verification.

13.5 Confidentiality: All information provided to us for security checks will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. We use third-party companies that comply with strict security and data protection standards to carry out these checks.
